Electric heating cost example

With 64.7% of the energy used in EU households going towards heating, it is more important than ever to ensure your system is energy efficient.

Several factors influence the effectiveness of your heating system (gas vs electric heating being the primary factor), therefore estimating your consumption and costs can be challenging.

We’ve done the hard work for you and calculated the estimated electric heating cost of Rointe radiators in an 80m2, 3 bed home in a cold climate of the UK.

ELECTRIC HEATING COST: RADIATOR

Please note that this calculation takes into account the product uses 100% of its power during the first heating hour to reach the set temperature.

The remaining hours will use only 38% of the products nominal power thanks to the patented technology inside.

* In tests performed by independent laboratories (under the same parameters), a Rointe radiator with Fuzzy Logic Energy Control technology and another with Optimizer Energy Plus technology were compared. A difference in energy consumption of 6.3% was obtained. This saving allows the radiators with Fuzzy Logic Energy Control (D Series & Kyros) to use an average power of only 38% of the nominal power. We define this as the equivalent consumption coefficient. If we multiply the nominal power by the equivalent consumption coefficient, we obtain the effective power.
